BELL 212 TWIN JET
This Twin Jet kit differs from the "petrol version" in that it can accept two other mechanical systems-,
before you start construction you have to decide whether to install Sky Fox or XTreme mechanics, or to
install the mechanics of an existing trainer based on one of these types.
The kit contains a fuselage with a white surface finish, together with machined wooden parts to accept
one of two mechanics versions. If you are fitting Sky Fox mechanics, please note that the clutch and
main gear have to be replaced. The ideal power plant has proved to be the Rossi 11.5 cc. This engine
turns at around 13 - 14,000 rpm, but with the new reduction ratio the main rotor spins at a very low
speed. The engine has immense pulling power, and has no difficulty in driving the rotor.
The semi-scale rotor head should really be classed as an essential accessory, as a model with this head
is virtually indistinguishable from the full-size helicopter.
The kit also includes a complete skid landing gear with T. pieces and retaining screws, together with
a set of clear glazing panels and four separate doors. A40' angle gearbox with a specially developed
GRP bulkhead makes tail rotor installation easy, and the kit contents are rounded off by a tail rotor
drive systern featuring a tubular carbon fiber shaft, complete with articulated joints.
Please note the section,, essential accessories~, when it comes to selecting extra items. We can
only guarantee that the model will function perfectly if you install these specific items. If you
use a different gearbox reduction ratio, or other main or tail rotor blades or engine etc., we can
no longer guarantee the excellent scale performance of which the model is capable.
