Esbit hexamine solid fuel tablets were first developed in Murrhardt, Germany in 1932 by Eric Schumm. The name Esbit is literally an acronym - Erich Schumm Brennstoff in Tabletten (fuel in tablet form). Since then, Esbit solid fuel has proven itself as an efficient and reliable source of energy even under the most extreme weather conditions. Esbit fuels and stoves are used by various NATO forces, expeditions, in the aftermath of disasters and by a variety of outdoor enthusiasts.
